Chingford is a small branch surgery and feeds in to our Oakhill, Woodford Green Essex, which is 5 minutes away. The Chingford surgery has an animal ambulance were the vet transfer animals that need operating to Oakhill, where they have operating facilities and a very experienced Head Nurse.

The weekend rota is 1-3 split between AM at Oakhill and PM at Mile End

Description: Floating Nurse Role
Floating Essex / London nurse required to cover between all Essex / London branches.
This role entails a 45 hour paid week which is made up of mixture of early, late or full days shifts dependent on which branch is being covered.
Early shifts are generally 8:30 - 6:00 and lates are 10:00-7:30 with half hour unpaid lunch breaks. Full days shifts are 9:00-7:00 with a full hours unpaid lunch.
The full day shifts are only worked at the one vet + 1 nurse branches.
We are looking for someone with their own transport and ideally someone Qualified or well experienced.
The locations being covered by this role are: Billericay, Chingford, Dagenham, Debden, Hullbridge, Isle of Dogs, Mile End, Woodford Green, Brentwood, Rainham, Romford, Shenfield and South Woodham Ferrers.
As this role is designed for holiday cover, sickness absence, vacant position filling etc there may be odd days / times when they are not required at any of the branches. On these occasions they would most likely be placed as an additional member of staff at our Shenfield, Romford or Brentwood branches as these are the bigger and busier sites.
Weekends for the position would be a maximum of 1 in 4 but may not be as regular as with a standard position - e.g. as and when required. If the nurse works a weekend then they would receive the hours worked back as time in lieu rather than being paid overtime for the shifts.
There is no OOH and only minimal on call with this role. Holiday entitlement 28 days per annum inclusive of Bank Holidays.
CPD allowance for Qualified Nurses and In house CPD provided for all staff on a monthly basis.
For mileage costs: The successful applicant would be provided with a base practice and the amount of miles covered to and from this practice from their home would be their personal miles. Then any miles travelled above and beyond this if they worked at other sites further from home would become their business miles and are therefore paid at a rate of 15 pence per mile.
